2 Nov 2009 - I'm getting my drag queen movies mixed up. Just finished watching To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar, which ran on BET tonight. I've been waiting to see it again ever since I heard about Patrick Swayze's death... I'd forgotten he was in the movie until I read about it in the news coverage shortly after he died. So I'm watching, and I'm thinking to myself, "Something's just not quite right here! Why are they in New York City, and headed west? Aren't they supposed to be in the Australian outback somewhere?" So after the movie ended I did some Googling... and found out I was confusing the movie with The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, which came out right around the same time and was also about a group of drag queens, this time in the Australian desert.
