DowntownMom: I agree. On Facebook I keep it clean. My Friends list there is a mixture of online and real-life friends, plus a couple relatives, and I don't necessarily want everyone there knowing all my business. If I want to give raunchy accounts of my sexual adventures, for example, or disclose how I'm really feeling about this or that person or situation, I'd much rather do it here on DD where I can keep it anonymous and beyond the reach of prying eyes. That's one big reason why I keep this diary... I'll tell total strangers things I'd rather my closest friends didn't know about.

YearoftheCat: The word that made me lose the sixth-grade spelling contest was "exhilarate". I misspelled the word "exhilirate" but did not remember that until Helen recalled it... and then it all came back to me as if it were just yesterday -- these were written tests and in my mind's eye I could even see the word written with the penmanship I had back then -- and I realized she was right!

Richard: I decided awhile back to only do the "Hot Smokin' Dude" feature on Mondays from now on (if I feel like it). That way anyone who doesn't care for (or is offended by) those entries can skip over them.

However: Here's a little something for your entertainment and enjoyment... Stolen shamelessly from my cousin's Facebook page (I have no idea whose birthday it was -- it wasn't hers -- but anyway...):
