7 May 2009 - Incurable Optimist
Just watched that Michael J. Fox special on ABC. I find myself really inspired by the way he hasn't let his affliction slow him down... he's still living life to the fullest, Parkinson's be damned. Now that's the right attitude!

In one of the segments, footage was shown of his trip to Bhutan, allegedly "the happiest country in the world". I need to do some further research on that place.

You know, despite his Parkinson's and his aging, I still find him an incredibly hot, sexy man. There's just something about him...

Another surprise: That was Fox on several recent episodes of Rescue Me! I had no idea. He's playing the guy Tommy Gavin's (Denis Leary) ex-wife is currently shacking up with. I was watching last week and said to myself, "Hmmm... This guy really has a kind of Michael J. Fox thing going on." I didn't realize that it actually was him! He's so wholesome... I didn't think he'd play such a raunchy character.

In other news, I've been enjoying the incredibly beautiful weather we've been having this past week... getting out for long walks and such, taking in all the signs of Spring (tree buds, blossoms, colorful flowers). And I've managed to dodge the few intermittent rainstorms we've had and not get caught in them.

Only problem has been that last night I had trouble sleeping as my apartment was a little too hot for my taste... they still have the heat on in my building and I'm not expecting them to switch to A/C until probably the end of the month.
