7 Feb 2009 - Havin' a heat wave.... It's about time... we so deserve it. 58 degrees along the Chicago lakefront. At least 57 degrees reported at Midway Airport this afternoon, breaking the previous record for this date at that reporting station. O'Hare reported an "official" high for the day of 56 degrees, just two degrees shy of its record for the date. I celebrated the return of global warming by taking a nice long walk this afternoon, wearing only a sweatshirt and jeans, no coat. Sweet! Today is actor Ashton Kutcher's 31st birthday. Just by coincidence, last night someone turned me on to the fact that he maintains a profile on Twitter, where I just signed up this past week. So now I'm following him and even sent him a Happy Birthday message! Maybe it's not too late for me to become a celebrity whore. Isn't life strange?
