Tried to call Jim in Colorado Springs tonight, but didn't connect. First there was the problem that my access numbers for OneSuite weren't working, then when I finally got through and placed the call, Jim's number rang and rang and there was no answer; not even an answering machine or voice mail even though I gave it a full ten rings.So I still have not talked to him. I'll try again later this week.
Phoned Bob in Cleveland right after that. Found out Mike left Colorado Springs via Amtrak on Christmas morning, and arrived in San Francisco on the 26th. He's currently staying at a youth hostel in the Tenderloin and looking for a job.
Cold and windy in Chicago today. At least there's no snow on the ground; hasn't been since that big 60-degree thaw a week or so ago, or whenever it was.
I wish I could've talked to Jim tonight. I was all psyched up, and now I'll have to get myself psyched up again. I wonder if he saw my name on Caller ID and is avoiding me...? No, that's not possible... he was probably just out.
