Another job opportunity goes down in flames.I called the internet start-up company whom e-mailed me and asked for me to schedule an interview with them. But it turned out when I called, they didn't even have my resume. They were batch mailing email to everyone after all. I talked to the lady on the phone and I sent her my resume through an email with my resume pasted on it. She scheduled an interview with me and asked me to bring a resume. The problem is, I don't have any paper RESUMES!! Back a few years ago, I had paper resumes made which I paid for. But when I was applying for jobs, I never used those resumes even once. All resumes were asked for electronically or through a fax. I have since threw away those resumes which were pretty old. The interview is scheduled for Wednesday. I am not going to get a new batch of resumes (don't even have the money for that right now) just for one job which I probably won't even get. That was exactly what happend last time--An interviewer asked me for a resume so I went to get a batch of resumes only not get a job out of it. And no, I don't know of any place that will only do one sheet of resume for me. I don't have a good working printer either. I will not spend all my energy on one job which I don't even know what the company do (www.referrals.com)
So I won't be going to that interview on Wednesday. I spent the latter half of my day just playing Quake III to get away from my lowered self-esteem. But I will be alright. The abundance of morphine in my brain will kick in sooner or later. Speaking of Quake III, I want to buy a keyboard and mouse for my Dreamcast so I can compete better, but I decided that I will buy them after I get a job. I'll use those as tools for motivation to get a job and as awards to treat myself after I get a job.
I don't have any plans for Tuesday. I don't think I'll call that job recruiter that e-mailed me. That person is just a middle man. I'm still waiting for that call from Crunch Fitness. I really really really really really really want that job.
Till next time.
