So, here I am...
2 Feb 2010 - Monday Night
I could get used to this. I wrote an entry in here, my bedroom, last night, but didn't get around to posting it during the day. So, I'll try again tomorrow. Hubby is watching some show about China. Very interesting. I've just been sitting with my daughter while she chatted to me. Her friends are starting to get into relationships with guys and it's kind of bringing her down. They are all a little older than her, but she's 21 and feeling a bit odd that she's not getting into a relationsip, too. I suppose I would if I was her. I was married by that age.

Today was the little guy's first day of pre-primary. He was super excited and ready to go really early this morning. I got up at about seven this morning. He wanted to dress and go, but I made him eat breakie first and do other stuff, like pack his bag, etc, before we finally left. He was only there for half the day, though. They're doing half days for the first two weeks, which is kind of annoying, though I gather it's good for the kids. The little guy is more than ready to just be there all day. Once we'd dropped him off we got on with a couple of things. I tried the book shop, but it was still pretty mad down there. I learnt it can wait over the first two weeks, anyway, so there's no major rush to get the books. I'll get it done. We drove to Karrinyup and put money on a layby for hubby, then came home. I dropped hubby here and went back out to pick up tablets for hubby and had a cuppa at one of my favourite cafes.

When I picked up the little guy it was good to see all the mums again. We chatted while we waited. We've seen each other at parties over the last few weeks, so it doesn't seem like all that long since we've seen each other. Some of the kids are in with year ones, which is a bit odd, to me. The kids also seem to be learning stuff a lot earlier than my other two did. They are going to have readers and a writing book, etc. The other two never did that until year one.

We had lunch and hung out at home. The little guy was full of news of his day and spent a lot of time with his dad. I got on with things about the house and went online for a bit. I had to set up a voting poll on the forum I moderate, so that took most of my time. I'm seriously addicted to playing a silly online game at the moment, so did that in between to break up my task.

Tonight was nice because my daughter was home. She listened to the little guy share his news about the day and we all chatted about the weekend. It was relaxing. I did a bit of beading while she chatted to me. Life is good at the moment, apart from still not having the ceiling fixed yet. Hopefully the landlord will get hold of someone who can do it this week. I don't fancy being like this for much longer. The heat really comes in here during the day without the ceiling there to shield us.
