We all went over to the college today to hit a proliferate blackberry patch off the parking lot. The boys now know that berry picking DOES NOT constitute going out with an empty container and coming back with three berries.I will be making a cobbler and a couple pies later today after my study session. I will be escaping the joys of summer loafing to spend a couple hours pounding Trigonometry through my thick skull.
Hubby is going to take the kids swimming while I do math. After that we will scrape through the cupboards to see what we can throw together for dinner. I suspect pasta will be the key ingredient of our dinner. Specifically the tortellini I have in the fridge. Yum!
Hubby has to go to Texas for a couple days this week and will be leaving tomorrow. I don't envy him going to Texas in the middle of August. I'm thinking Alaska sounds better! While I will tolerate the heat if I have to, I by far prefer temperatures between 65F/18C to about 80F/27C. I can handle higher temps if there is either water & shade, or air conditioning nearby!
