    Le Chevalier D'Eon 01 (DVD)

Wonderfully well written story. Evocative and brilliantly original. The animation is beautiful and dubbing is well done. I was very pleased with this and cannot wait to get the next. We watched it at our monthly anime review party, along with two other series that we hadn't seen yet, and the entire group agreed that this was our favourite of the night. Mystery and action with un petite humour. Tres bon!

    Ergo Proxy 1: Awakening (DVD)

There were parts of this series that made me think of GITS: SAC 2nd Gig. Immigrants fighting for citizenship. Possible corruption. Androids, androids everywhere. For me that was where the similarity ended. I've enjoyed this series so far. I loved the dark quality to the animation. Funnily, it was the close resemblance of the main female character to Amy Lee that caught my eye. Unfortunately, I feel like I can't get into what I REALLY have liked so far. I don't like to give ANYTHING away... I'll give a little clue. It made me think of Evangelion's Four Wise Men. I'll tell more, but only if you ask. Let that whet your appetite a little. Stunning graphically, interesting and mind grabbing story wise and wonderfully well handled overall. Love, love, love this series.
