14 May 2008 - Introduction + today's movies
For a while now, I've been trying to watch at least one new (to me) movie every day. Some days I end up watching a few. So I just wanted to keep a record of it. I enjoy most every movie for what it's worth, so there won't be a bunch of tough critiques here. Just the movies listed and maybe a comment or two about each one. I'll also be mentioning movies I watched before I started this diary when I feel like it. Also, this won't be a place to keep up on the latest movies coming out. I rarely go to see movies at the theatre. Something will have to be out on video at least before I get to watch it. ;)

Today's movies were:
In the Land of Women directed by Lawrence Kasdan & starring Adam Brody, Meg Ryan, Kristen Stewart, Olympia Dukakis
I was surprised how much I liked this movie. The chemistry between Brody & Ryan was great! Excellent cast.

Everyone Says I Love You directed by Woody Allen & starring himself, Goldie Hawn, Drew Barrymore, Edward Norton, Alan Alda, Julia Roberts, Natasha Lyonne, Natalie Portman etc. etc. etc.
an amazing cast. the musical numbers were kind of neat. otherwise kind of a typical Woody Allen film. I need to give this film another chance when I'm not so sleepy.

Yesterday I watched a Hong Kong movie called China Strike Force, which was apparently the movie debut of Wang Lee-Hom. His character's name was Alex which is his real American name. Cute! Most of the actors' characters were their own real life names or close, including Coolio. LOL Coolio's character was so awful in this that I wish he would have used a different name. I saw the English version and enjoyed a lot of the action sequences.

That's it for today!
Jennifer
