17 May 2008 - Thursday's & Friday's movies
Thursday's movies:

Two Weeks starring Sally Field, Ben Chaplin, Tom Cavanagh, Julianne Nicholson, Glenn Howerton, James Murtaugh & Clea Duvall
This is about a mom of four grown children who is dying from intestinal cancer. Her children gather round her at the end of her life. Despite Ben Chaplin never fully losing his accent, the cast gels completely and makes a totally convincing family. There's scenes where you're both laughing and crying which is so true for such times. Sally Field is great!

Iron Jawed Angels starring Hilary Swank, Frances O'Connor, Molly Parker, Anjelica Huston, and many many other excellent actresses.
This was a rewatch.
This is an HBO movie about suffragettes circa 1920. It takes an unflinching look at what these young women went through to get the vote. Hilary Swank is AWESOME! Do you think she knows I love her? lol Just a great film to see during an election year. I may vote in November after all.

Friday's movies:
slow, slow day for movie watching...
Urban Legends: Bloody Mary
there were some familiar faces in the cast of this movie but even I don't know their names yet. so erm, cast not listed.
I don't think this was really a sequel to the movie starring Alicia Witt & Jared Leto. The first two were slasher movies with no actual supernatural elements. This movie is a ghost story. It seems to have more in common with some Korean horror movies I've seen. Urban legends are incorporated, to be fair, but in a way that reminds me more of Final Destination death scenes.

Notice how I type more about movies I didn't like as much? LOL Sweet mysteries.
See ya!
Jennifer
