We had a nice email today that basically felt like the start to the 'go ahead' that we are waiting on to get this new business venture running full stream ahead.Hubby will be home in 13 days, so we have the next two weeks to strategically plan our moves for the next 6 weeks or so until everything is open and running.
It is a tremendous amount of work, and Hubby laughed when I said something about the 12 hour days we'll be working for the next few months...he seems to think it will be 15 or 16 hours days...and I'm afraid he's more accurate than my best estimate.
At least there are two of us.
I would like to morph into 20 or 30 of us.
It sucks that everything has to be done in stages, we have to wait until the first step is completed before we can move onto the second step....one foot in front of the other.
I just realized last night that I left my lease termination letter for my landlady because I thought she was gone out for the afternoon when I was there....oops...I remembered that she's gone away until sometime next week. Damn it. I've told all of my clients and anyone that will listen, so everyone will know before her.
Shit.
My lease is up now, so I'm just concerned about her shock, nothing legal.
The meetings and paperwork and headaches and frustrations that we are up against over the next few weeks would make a rational person quit while they are ahead. Good thing we aren't rational people.
There is so much that goes into planning a business that I understand why most people don't do it.
Once it's opened you get yourself a whole new set of complications, but actually getting the doors open takes years off your life.
It's all a game....it's all a game.....and I don't like to lose.
It is scorching hot here today. I forgot how insanely oven-like my little shop becomes in the Summer. I should sweat off a few pounds in the next couple of weeks.
I had full intentions of walking the dogs this afternoon, but they are panting and exhausted in the shade of the backyard, so I'll wait until this evening. No need for the 4 of us to die of heat stroke today.
I'm going to bbq some steaks for supper tonight. I rarely bbq when Hubby isn't here, but I'll make some cold spaghetti salad and treat myself to a marinated hunk of beef. Yummy.
Thanks for checking in.
