May is gone already....wowsers.I have this horrible habit of procrastinating. I've always done it, only now it seems worse. Because as an adult with a busy schedule, it's easy for the months to pass by so quickly, and there is one more thing, or a dozen more things that I was going to 'get around to' and I didn't....time really does fly when you are having fun.
Today's weather was supposed to be sunny and warm, but this morning when I got up the clouds were thick and there was no sign of blue sky anywhere. I enlisted the help of the kids, and together we wrote out our grocery list and planned meals and went to the store to shop. By the time we got out the sun was shining, so we ran home to unpack the food, grab a bite to eat, and we took off to the beach for the afternoon.
I even wore my bathing suit!
I love summer-time!
Hubby will be home in two more sleeps, and he's got a return ticket to go back for a few weeks of more work. That's good news. I think he's getting tired and he was probably looking forward to a break-but it's not time yet.
There are ideas that we are still toying with, creative ways to get him here at home with his family. He's mentioned it a lot recently, the fact that this being away stuff is really taking it's toll on him.
I think we will have an adjustment period when he comes home to stay. It's been a long time since we lived together full-time. This life, although not ideal, has become all of what we know over the past few years. He lives away and gets home for a short stay every few weeks, and I deal with the house stuff...it will be interesting.
I'm missing my Ya Yas terribly lately. We were hoping to get to Halifax this past month, but like everything else, life got in the way. June, July and August will be my busy months, so I'm not sure if I'll get away or not. You never know...things change...a lot sometimes...you just never know.
Thanks for checking in.
