Back to work tomorrow, although I only have a short day, and then I'll spend the rest of the day with Hubby...his last day home.God. This trip home for him flew by way too fast. It seems like he just got here. The job on the new flooring took longer than anticipated, the last few pieces of laminate were snapped in this morning.
We bought all new baseboards, but I think I'll hire somebody to install them another time. Hubby only gets 6 days home a month, too short for big projects.
Our turkey dinner last night was delicious....I cheated and bought a butter basted pre-stuffed turkey. I discovered them a few holidays ago, and they are divine! You cook them from frozen, and the fuss in gone. Love them! And they are, by far, better than most turkey I've tasted...and I'm a turkey-a-holic.
Last night Hubby and I curled up and watched a movie. That was nice, so nice that we may just do it again tonight.
I just spent the last hour mopping the floor with this insanely expensive cleaner that Hubby got suckered in to buying the other day. The floors are clean, but no cleaner than my poor dead steam mop made them....and there are no chemicals in a steam mop...
Speaking of clean....I made another batch of laundry soap yesterday. A bigger batch. Now, what am I supposed to do with all of this soap....time to get creative. I bet you that it does a mean job of cleaning the floors, and WITHOUT Hubby huge pricetag.....
Speaking of....Hubby just said that he was cranky, while sweeping the floor, because HIS time is worth too much for that job.....well. Excuse me. Apparently I'm worth diddly squat...as I have to do it all the time. He said, "I thought we were getting a maid or something?"
Right. The housecleaner that never called back. And now that I'm only working 3 days a week, apparently my time isn't worth enough to complain about having to do chores.
Alright, that's all for now.
