frost on the windshield this morning but thankfully the day warmed and this afternoon was fairly mild. we finished painting the room with semi-gloss paint colored santa fe smoke. it turned out very pretty. plus the windows are now draped in white sheer lacy panels, very nice and just in time for thanksgiving dinner.
i started a new book last night and just recently finished it. Narrative of the Life and Adventures of Henry Bibb, an American Slave, Written by Himself . Once again I used an online map to follow along with the various routes and towns/cities mentioned in his journal. This book has furthered my belief in the importance of keeping a journal for the education of future generations. I feel priviledged to have been able to read this author's writings/thoughts/beliefs and have also completed some online research on his name.
It is so great being able to sit down and read online with no worries of lost books, etc. Books on this site are mostly limited to the early 1900s and prior. But, I am addicted. And I have signed up already to do proofreading, too. I feel this is a very valuable project to volunteer some hours to. www.gutenberg.org
WEll, i need to get back to my work, just wanted to make a quick update to my diary, mostly for future reference concerning the books i am reading online.
Thanks for stopping by.
