Success is relative:
It is what we can make of the mess we have made of things.

27 May 2006 - last saturday in may
This is a grand time of the year. The iris are in full bloom and the peonies are close behind. Is there any better fragrance than a garden filled with blooming peonies and irises? The old fashioned roses are budding up and will soon be blooming, too. And this year the roses have really grown and even spead beyond their flowerbeds.

This is the big weekend that starts off summer. Memorial Day weekend! Hopefully I will be able to attend the decoration of the graves on Sunday morning. This is when all the graves of the military throughout the valley are decorated. Flower bouquets will be placed on each veteran's grave while new flags will be placed to stand alongside to wave in the breeze.

Here are my most recent pics of one of my favorite flowers: The Iris.

My iris out along the field have really mutiplied blooming better this year than ever.

What happened to all my pinks, yellows, and whites? It seems only the purples are doing good this year, anyway, at my place.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your weekend is filled with lots of sunshine and clear blue skies.

27 May 2006 - getting ready to walk
Today has gone by too fast even though I got up around 4 a.m. or so. It is kinda muggy outside right now, but lots of sunshine. I attempted to capture the beauty of my peonies with this little digital camera but all I get is a blur of white. I will try again toward evening. Maybe then the lighting will not be so intense.

Here is a pic of one of my favorite iris. It is too bad none of my whites or pinks or yellows are blooming this year. Makes it kind of drab to look at.

Thanks for all comments. I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.
