Bleh, I have a cold. I think it's just a cold but I feel a bit feverish too. Sometimes I feel feverish when I'm tired, though, so I'm hoping it's just that.It has been a very tiring weekend. Yesterday, I had to go out to Mobara to my new school. My new boss, Diana, wants to ease me into the routine and introduce me to the students prior to my actual start date. This is great in theory but in reality, it has meant a six day work week and when five of those six days are very stressful... well, tiredness ensues.
It was lovely weather, though, and I know I'll be glad of this at some point in the future. The worst of it is over anyhow.
Today, I woke up with this cold thing but we still had to go out cleaning our town. Yes, six months (or nine, is it?) have gone by since our last attempt to clean Hoshikuki and so out we went today. It wasn't as bad as last time, probably because the weather was cool rather than devastatingly humid aka last July. The Boy and I pulled up weeds, redundantly swept pathways and attempted to pick up rubbish from a vacant strip of land that several people seem to have turned into a personal dumping ground for litter. Grrrr.
Also went to the library. Always nice. The Boy went to see his father in hospital and Oto-san is slowly but surely recovering so that is good news.
Today, incidentally, was also White Day. To explain briefly because I can't be bothered finding the old entry where I talked about it a lot, on Valentine's Day here only girls give chocolates to boys. Thus, Japan invented a holiday for the boys to reciprocate one month later on March 14th, White Day. The Boy brought me a small box of delicious chocolates for it which was very sweet of him.
Tomorrow, it's back to work/the battleground. Four days, Zerraweth. Four days. You can do this.
