THE ZERO POINT
The Zero Degree Aries is an interesting progression point for the Sun..
I found other examples of The Aries Point. The first degree of the
zodiac, 0 deg Aries. Functioning similar to a node, and is a point of extreme
out-rushing energy and representative of one's relationship with the world
at large.
This principle works as any planet reaches any of the 4 cardinal signs
and most dynamic activities associated with each.
The degree is associated with fame, new undertakings, and coming before
the world in a very public way.
While it does not always guarantee fame, it is an extremely dynamic
point and does guarantee that events surrounding the individual will receive
special interest from the public, who often become caught up in the affairs
of the individual without previous desire of inclinations to do so.
The first degree of the remaining cardinal signs works similarly, automatically
inferring activities and events associated with the particular signs,
and any time a planet or significant point is found in one of these dynamic
degrees, certain particulars can be counted on to take place.
There are difference in magnitude of the events associated with these
degrees depending on the type of chart in which they are found to be prominent.
The natal chart would show potential events occurring over a lifetime at
times of stimulation. The Aries point becoming prominent in the progressed
chart appears to be quite dynamic. It may be a significant factor showing
a time of climax for the current trends. A situation has developed to a point
of maturation and new beginnings will follow what ever transpires now. It
this pint is found to be prominent in the return chart, the events are of
a more temporary nature, but still quite significant in the life of the
individual.
The nature of the particular planet position in the degree gives indication
to the type of activity or event that will follow. For example, if the sign
is Aries or if the planet is mars, the outsider who are called in might be
of a masculine nature or connected to affairs ruled by Mars
There will always be a personal matter that becomes a point of interest
of interference from those who would not normally get involved. The rest
of the chart should help to clarify the matter at hand.
The location by house where the stimulated Aries Point is found shows
the area where action will take place.
The planet, sign, and house must be blended.
For instance, when his mother drowned him, Michael Smith had his progressed
Moon at 0 deg. Capricorn on the Midheaven. The Moon signifies both the mother
and the drowning. Capricorn signifies authorities and the public reputation
of the mother. (Susan Smith Case on October 25, 1994. Union,, South Carolina,
she drove to a boat ramp released the emergency brake, and watched as her
car slip under the water with her young sons inside. she reported to the
police that the boys had been abducted in a car jacking, and the story made
national headlines. However, nine days later, she confessed, the car was recovered,
and the authorities arrested Susan for the murder of her children. On July
22, 1995 she was sentenced life in prison. The Midheaven showed the overwhelming
publicity and interest into the whole family situation, as well as
Michael's publicity. This barely scrapes the surface of all the significant
factors that were described with just the Moon occupying the degree. Once
the parts to the configuration are intertwined, a whole story appears.
I never fail to find the point an exciting treasure of information in
the chart reading.

When I first read Jarvis's book I was curious about what
sign he was. I thought maybe Leo with some Scorpio. but when I wrote him
and got his birth data back I was not surprised at all to find his sun in
Pisces. The next thing of interest was to find when his progressed Sun hit
the Zero deg. Aries point. As it happens it was exactly on my birthday in
1986, the year he was charged with the conspiracy to commit murder of a guard
in the prison where he was housed at the time.

Then I went about to
look at his natal chart again and included the Sabian Symbols. He had become
Buddhist while on Death row and with all the media hype and just the fact
that he alone got the death penalty and has sat in SanQuentin death row for
over 15 years made me take a second look at it all.

Sun reached the Aries point on my birthday in 1986 (as stated above) This
was the year he received the death penalty
