Our Murray, Utah idol came home this past weekend.. Friday actually, for this big American Idol goes home deal.. I had planned on attending, but didn't .. My Mom got admitted to the hospital earlier that week and I spent most of the week with her..
Then she was released to a rehab center where they are giving her physical therapy and trying to get some of her medical issues sorted out.. Dad is still so tired and so much sadness in his eyes
It is hard for me to watch this processOn Saturday me, both my kids, and all 4 of my grandkids and the 5 great grands met up at mom' & dads and did the rest the yard work.. Actually me, my son and my daughter did most of it.. Kody did the edging of all the lawn.. That was a big help.. And the grandkids helped me plant flowers in the back yard!! Dad came back from visiting mom at the villa where she is staying and wanted a picture of us all.. Well, I was standing on a ledge that goes around the flower garden and somehow missed the other side of the ledge.. I had Illana in my arms and was afraid of her getting hurt so when I went down.. I protected her and my elbow slid down the rock.. The ledge is only up about a foot and half.. But my knee and ankle buckled the wrong way under all my weight.. OUCH!!!
I couldn't get up.. But.. of course I finally did.. with help...
My daughter took me to the ER where I got X-rays and a walking cast deal that I have to have on for a couple weeks... I can't believe I fell like that..
Anyway. ... I am healing up.... and this forces me to slow down some.
Mom seemed better today.. more happy.. She even left her room and ate breakfast and lunch in this sitting room on the floor.. She had her physical therapy.. and me and Dad are hopeful!!
That's about all for my news.. There is a lot of other stuff going on.. But I can't talk about it yet
If you watch American Idol tonight you will probably get to see my neighborhood.. David Archuleta's Murray homecoming.. It was a total trip.. So many people followed his every move from about 8 AM until he sang the Anthem at the Jazz game that night.. So tune in
See ya soon
