The sky is dark.. the clouds are moving so quickly and so dark.. they are dark gray .. with a tinge of plum or maybe darker.. maroon..
They roll over each other quickly and high in the sky.. suddenly a bolt of lightening splits through the darkness and rain is pouring down.......
It is autumn.. in utah!!
Above the Law????
Cancerians with Leo Rising
& Saturn in the 12th House,
O.J. Simpson and George W. Bush
Like George W. Bush, sociopath O.J. Simpson has the Sun in Cancer and Leo rising. Both have Saturn, the planet of karma in the 'serve or suffer' 12th house of the unconscious and self-undoing. O.J., whose best selling confessional book "If I Did It." is back in the news and in out of jail awaiting trial. He is now charged with kidnapping and robbery. The Simpson murder trial for the June 1994 deaths of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman marked the beginning of Pluto's journey through media-legal-ethical centric Sagittarius in 1994/95 (that debacle of a trial concluded with his getting away with murder). Now it appears that Simpson's antics will mark the conclusion of the transit of Pluto in Sagittarius in 2007/08 with his next and (one hopes) final 'series' on Court TV.
Both men have the sun in Cancer, Leo rising, Saturn in the 12th house, and lucky Jupiter favorably aspecting their Moon very close to the 4th house cusp. Both are arrogant. They have somehow managed to live above the law and have dodged the comeuppance due them (Bush was born on July 6, 1946 and Simpson born on July 9, 1947.) Though the horoscopes and lives of Bush and OJ are far from parallel, the astrological and mythological similarities are worthy of study and contemplation.
The astrology of Septembers end
Between the Lower and Higher Mind
On September 21, two noteworthy oppositions take place in our solar system that promise to impact us mortals here on earth: First, Mars opposes Pluto at 4:33 AM EDT (this is the first of 3 Mars/Pluto oppositions that occur between now and early March 2008), and Venus opposes Neptune at 4:05 PM EDT.
What is so striking about these planetary pairs of opposites (beyond the obvious intense and threatening energy of the Mars/Pluto opposition), is that in both instances on 9/21/07, the outer planet opposing the inner one is the higher octave of that specific planet. The symbolic significance is big. It's as if the bigger story of the collective far outweighs anything going on in our individual lives.
In Friday's pair of oppositions, which occur on the eve of the Jewish Day of Atonement, the holiest day of the year (shades of the Yom Kippur War of '73?), Mars in Gemini opposite Pluto at the Galactic Center can be described as a chatty and ferocious pit bull challenged by a Big Foot zealot with nuclear weapons – to describe it as heated and tense is such an understatement. And Venus opposite Neptune, though more benign, also poses the dilemma of getting one's personal need for love satisfied at a time when the culture is uncooperative and the bigger story overrides all else.
Can we possibly get through the week smoothly and without a hitch?
As of this writing, the first Mars/Pluto opposition in the communication/media/transportation axis of Gemini-Sagittarius on the Galactic Center has just occurred, and the intense political and media brouhahas have erupted all over the place and are proliferating by the hour.
And though there hasn't been a terrorist attack per se, other horrific shocks abound in several hard to believe incidents:
:: The Jena 6 case in Louisiana is an atrocious rerun of the type of disgusting racism in the south that we thought was long gone.
:: The Senate passed a Republican resolution condemning the ad placed last week by MoveOn.org. The NY Times ad against the Iraq War phonetically (and cleverly) aligning (Scorpio) General Petraeus to the phrase “Betray Us” The 72 to 25 vote had 22 Democratic senators siding with Republicans.
:: Former CBS News Anchor (Scorpio) Dan Rather has announced a $70 million dollar wrongful termination suit against his former bosses over his controversial George Bush/National Guard Report which aired on 60 Minutes II in 2004.
:: Singer/Composer (Gemini) Barry Manilow cancelled his scheduled appearance on ABC"s "The View", saying "I strongly disagree with her (conservative pit bull Elisabeth Hasselbeck- also a Gemini) views. I think she's dangerous and offensive. I will not be on the same stage as her."
:: Comic Kathy Griffin blurted out the phrase “Suck it Jesus” during her acceptance speech at the Emmy Awards. A campaign of offended religious leaders and conservative actors condemning Griffin has been launched.
::For the second time this week, a cab in NYC burst into flames (in protest/energetic effigy of all of the above?)
:: A meteor crashed in Peru, hundreds were taken ill in its wake.
:: Comedy Central's (Taurus) Stephen Colbert is being sued to the tune of $65 million for joke-stealing by Air America host and Huffington Post blogger Cenk Uygur, who is also an attorney. Unfortunately the evidence against Colbert is on tape and indisputable.
:: And last but far from least, Senator Ernie Chambers from Omaha filed a lawsuit against God for causing “widespread death destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of earth's inhabitants”, and got a response!!
With the Sun's entrance into airy Libra on Sunday September 23 @ 5:52 AM, fall begins in the northern hemisphere. The chart cast for that moment is suggestive of a leader at odds with the people he has sworn to serve.
Oh boy, oh boy.. are we in for it, or what??
Peace (remember)
