What a rotten day. First phone call of the day was from a client asking about their funds. I was truly shocked that they hadn’t received them yet. After making several phone calls I tracked down that the underwriter was waiting on an appraisal. Which she did not need because of the two years of property taxes I sent. Her response was Oh yeah I forgot I can do it that way. Broker blows cork! The underwriter sat on this an entire week and never contacted me. Broker screams while covering the phone. She assured me the client would have the funds in three days. Broker laughs. Then I thought I could relax at a meeting I had today in Beaverton. That was pleasant. I was given the opportunity for some investment cases. Which will me great if I can ever start getting my money returned. Broker screams again. Then to wrap up the afternoon I get a phone call saying don’t move the closing date back the repairs can be done by Monday. Broker laughs hysterically after hanging up. Phone rings again. This time a realtor wanting to know where is appraisal is at. Duh, the house inspection was not complete, why do an appraisal. Oh the realtor said the inspection was completed on Friday. So I ordered the appraisal. Phone rings again. Same realtor who just screamed and yelled referring a new client. I have to love this man. Then a client informs me of a house deal fell through because the seller accepted less money than the first offer. Broker scratching his head because that makes no sense. Come to find out this seller agent is from the same nightmare agency that my other headache case comes from. And to finish up the afternoon I get a phone call from a client wanting me to pay for a home inspection that FAILED. Umm, NO! I don’t pay for them even if they passed. I hope the next 2 hours go by better than the previous few have. By the way. I am the broker.

12 Jul 2004 - Letting the mind wander

Have you ever read the book series of Left Behind? I started rereading from book one. Now everyone who has read this knows the evil one is Carpathia. In book one they refer Carpathia's rise to power and compare it to a freshman congressman who gets into the presidency in a non – election year. President just steps aside and boom he is in. Now I know I’m on a rant of a day but think about it openly. Congress is trying to get a bill passed to put of elections until the threat is gone. Who knows how long that could be? That could also go into effect after the election. Think about it this way. Bush looses (I really hope not) But lets say he does. Congress passes this resolution. This puts Kerry and Edwards in the White House. Edwards is a freshman congressman. If Kerry were to step aside for an ailment or something. Who knows how long he would remain in office? Weird comparison huh? Well I’m going back to reading. Lets see if I can drift off onto some more crazy notions.
