Well, it’s a little over two months since the last public entry here. I guess I predicted correctly, I lost my beloved engineering student. I’m as close to over it as I’m probably going to get. I don’t know what went wrong, and since he won’t talk to me, or even write to me, I don’t suppose I’ll ever know. He just never spoke to me again after the day I came home. This has been one of the most emotionally painful experiences of my life. Hell, I haven’t even wanted sex for over two months. I wasn’t even this low when I got divorced. I really fell hard. I hope I never love like that again; it was just too deep and too shocking. I am not equipped for those kinds of feelings. However, I have plans to change all that in a couple of days. I’ve found someone new that wants me and will probably even fall in love with me, even though he doesn’t think so. The thing is, he’s a virgin. And he’s in his mid-thirties. It’s a long story, but let’s just say he isn’t odd for the culture he grew up in. This is pretty stressful for me considering I’ll be the woman he compares to every woman he’s ever with in his life. I’m pretty sure that I shouldn’t really be anyone’s baseline. But I’m the one he has decided is to be The One. To be honest, this prospect is daunting for me. I guess I’ll just have to go with the flow and try to keep it simple, although simple is the last thing he wants. He’s got some pretty big plans. I’ve never worried about being disappointing before, but I fear that his expectations are impossible for anyone, even me, to live up to. I’ll write up a full report within a few days after the big event. Wish me luck; I’m going to need it.
