Good news! I’ve had my “minor surgery” and the pathologist’s report is in: no cancer, no pre-cancerous growths. It looks like I’m going to be able to keep my uterus and cervix. This is a great relief. We are currently treating my ongoing issues with hormonal medications, and if that doesn’t work to my satisfaction then there is a surgical procedure that I am a prime candidate for and can expect good results.
Over the last weeks I’ve become quite attached to the Boy Toy. He continues to have horrible interactions with the Drama Queen. She sent him to the hospital this afternoon, in fact. She hurt him badly enough that they gave him Demerol to control the pain. I told him this was his warning from the universe to get away and stay away from her before he ended up either dead or in jail. That girl isn’t right. I think a restraining order is going to have to be filed against her. She simply will not stay away from him.
He promised to hide out here for a few days starting tomorrow. We’ll see if he actually does it. He’s in a lot of pain, and needs rest, not more stress. He can get that here, but not at home, unfortunately. Too many other high drama people in the house, and the Drama Queen feels welcome there, even if she has been told to stay the hell away a few dozen times.
In other news Mr. Green(er Pastures) has been kind and attentive throughout this medical ordeal, calling to inquire about my health and emotional well-being, too. I’ve just got to play it cool for a little bit longer.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any new adventures to report. It’s been a very dry time for the Lioness. But I started on the hormonal medications yesterday, so I should be back in top form again very soon. Until then, I wish all of you some of the playtime that I’ve been missing these last weeks.
