WOO HOO!!! What is this crazy lady talking about..you ask? Wellllll....... My position at Mystic Aquarium as an Assistant Aquarist was originally just a temporary position. Well I was just told the other day that they changed the position status from temporary to permanent. So now I have a guaranteed job at Mystic for as long as I wanna stay there! yippee yippee!! I've really lucked out with this job.... right after I got it, they started to allow assistant aquarists to be part of the Scuba dive team (which I'm getting my cpr certification for this week!) and now they decided to change the temp position to permanent. Now if only I could find an apartment down there.
But that probably won't happen until fall or winter since someone said that once summer hits all the cheap places are gone and you'll just find the expensive places which it looks like it has already started. Since I had gotten my phone and decided that I finally had enough money to leave I have only been able to find one place. It was a one room effic. and I went to check it out today and let me tell ya it was a waste of four hours driving and the gas money it took. My BEDROOM is bigger than that effic. was! so I guess I'm gonna have to stick out the summer here, which sucks... I can hold out, but I just really wanted to be gone by now. The driving is really starting to wear me down (I don't know how truck drivers do it) plus by not living down there I miss out on a lot of get togethers and hanging out and things that the people I work with do.... Ya know how they say, you can never be real friends with the people you work with, well at Mystic you can...they are always hanging out and stuff and they are the coolest and most fun people I know. well anyways I'm tired and I can't think of anything else to say...esp. anything with any depth...lol till next time
