So this is my first entry in my online journal... woohoo! :) Tonight was Volunteer appreciation night at Mystic. It was alot of fun. Since none of my friends were able to go and I wasn't sure when my Mom was getting home, I took my sister along. I'm glad I did though, it was another chance to do some sister bonding. Plus she had alot of fun, since she has never been to Mystic before.
When we first got there, they weren't set up yet, so we waited outside and watched the Beluga Whales swim around. When we got in I took Katie around to see all the tanks. And then we met up with the people that I work with there. I was glad that they were all there, cause I didn't know too many others, and they are alot of fun. They are the rowdiest bunch out of everyone that works there. But hey we are always laughing.
There was a raffle towards the end of the thing and we each had three tickets that we could use to pick things we wanted to win. But if you won more than one item, you had to choose only one. So guess what!!!!!!!!........ I won both the meet a penguin prize, and the Sea Lions Explorations Immersion Program..where you get up close and personal with the Sea Lions!!!! So obviously I chose the Sea Lion prize. I get to take one guest with me, but I really don't know who, I will most likely take my sister since she was the one who went with me to the Banquet. So yeah, today was a good day! (edit: I just found out that the sea lion thing is not up close and personal with sea lions...it is an interactice video! Oh well guess I passed up meeting a penguin)
