'Belize Sunset'

"The most alluring clouds that mount the sky,

Owe to a troubled element their forms,

Their hues to sunset.

If with raptured eye We watch their splendour,

shall we covet storms..."

quote excerpted from miscellaneous sonnets, II

by William Wordsworth 1888

12 Aug 2007 - Pebbles from Wales

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Before I left to go over to Wales, I was talking to some of the women who work for Journey Home, a metaphysical shoppe in Ventura, California. They asked me to bring them back a pebble from a river in Wales so I did. I brought back several in fact. It was a nice memory, going down to the river Severn in Newtown, Powys Wales.

The above photo is a photo looking inside of the little bag that I kept these pebbles in. When I got home to California, I reopened the bag, which still was damp, and had a bit of condensation and a bit of mud still inside with the pebbles, and I held the bag up to my nose and breathed it in, what a beautiful scent. It brought me back to the river, and being there with Joe, and the wind in my hair and the smile on my face, it brought back memories of the clouds in the sky and the hills nearby. I couldn't believe how wonderful it smelt, and how many memories came back.

At another time, when we were walking along the river I took a short video of the ducks in the river...

I wonder what the ladies at Journey Home want to do with the little pebble from Wales? I wonder if they will use it for magic or witchcraft, or maybe it will be used for some druid spells? Who knows... but I do hope that whatever they want it for that they will treasure it like I treasured finding them. I just have to decide now which pebble to give them. :)

I miss it there, it was so pretty. Now that I am back in California, I'm still feeling a loss from leaving there. Home is where your heart is they say... part of my heart is still in Wales... so of course I'd miss it.

*sighs*

"Moreover, something is or seems,

That touches me with mystic gleams,

Like glimpses of forgotten dreams--

Of something felt, like something here;

Of something done, I know not where;

Such as no language may declare."
