SoftlyDreaming User – Please Read This!

I have tried to reply to your e-mails – your AOL account replies with ‘This user is not accepting mail from this sender’.

Please make sure, if you expect a reply from someone, that your AOL account is not set to block external mail! (That goes for anyone, not just the user named above of course!)

Change to Readers Comments

If you’re used to reading your comments and clicking the users name hotlink in order to send them an email you’ll be in for a surprise now as the system will instead take you to their diary.

Assuming they’re an authenticated (ie, logged in) commenter. If they’re not you won’t get a hotlink at all because, quite honestly, unsecure comments are just too much of a hoaxers paradise to allow you to really do anything at all with them except look at the comment itself.

Just in case anyone didn’t want this change, I should like to point out that this, and many other changes, are being discussed RIGHT NOW on the Forums. Go to forums.hamiko.co.uk or click the Forums link from the frontpage and GET INVOLVED! (Or don’t moan if you don’t like things ;)). I’d like to get the forums buzzing though, there’s a whole extra dimension to the site going on there!

Plus Account Price Reduction

I have reduced the prices for a Plus account today by 49p (85c US) to £2.50 for a month, £12.50 for six months (down by £2.49 ($4.40US)), and to £22.50 for a year (down by £4.49 ($7.90US)).

If you’ve only just recently paid for a new subscription at the old price please mail me directly and I’ll arrange either for a refund of the difference or to credit your Plus account with extra time, whichever you prefer.

The reduction is to try to compensate from the fact that US Dollar to Pound conversion is just horrid at the moment making it really expensive for all the Americans. Hopefully this reduces the price sufficiently :)

If you’ve no idea what all the features are you get from DD these days, click here for a quick run down! (Give it to your non DD friends too if they want to start a diary/journal!)

Double Line Additions Updating Entries

I think I have fixed the double line endings when adding entries (if you forgot to add a title for example, the entry you had just typed was sent out again with extra line breaks) and when updating entries (similar story).

Its a bit weird, and there will undoubtedly be other places where it also happens (due to the switch to Windows and Perl it would seem not being too clever) so if you come across somewhere that is giving you double line breaks when you know it should only be giving you a single, please drop me a line.

Or not?

Should be a line between each line here.
