I was going to start with the usual: winge, complain, a little bit of self-proclaimed philosophy, but today’s news beats it all and I feel compelled to say something about it. In the end of the day it could be The Begining of New Era. I think, it’s great. No, I think, it is GREAT. This discovery can turn our world upside down and even if this won’t happen in our time, there is always hope for the next generations. That’s the thing, isn’t it – whatever we do for ourselves, in truth we building up for the kids or our kids and their kids too. Even when we don’t do something, we are still creating foundation of the tasks our children will have to face. I feel proud for the scientists of today, they must be so happy. Now they produced something so important, it gives them right to shake off the label of the Mad Scientist, of the geek from the Big Bang of the Misfit. At some point in future, when we all will be using new types of energy, new ways of transportation, new whatever else this discovery might help to create, somewhere someone will say: I’ve been at the begining of it all…how cool is that?! I was at the begining of it…well, not quite, let’s say, from where I stood I saw the history in the making. My ex used to be in the one of the projects – Atlas experiment. I’ve been to CERN with him, I met these people, they were pretty un-distinquish at that time, but nice people nevertheless. You cannot be more then a human after all. And now they might be the ones to change the World and hopefully we all live to see that. and when I read this news today, I felt proud for the time we live in. At last, something worthy to add to the History Of Our Times.
