Getting home around 3 p.m. after the burger bash, I was left to defend myself the rest of the afternoon and evening
I feel tired and ready to go bed now … 8 p.m. now. I did not have any company over today or this evening when I got home so I am enjoying my place to myself snuggling with Bing. Have been watching television and I have no interest in being online at all today … I get in a mood like that sometimes when I have had a productive, long day like today. Anyway, having Bing snuggling with me is what I really care about right now anyway. Bing is such a loving little boy — all 13 pounds of him. Kids! LOL
Every year, Bethel Baptist Church of Janesville, Wisconsin has a burger bash. Church members of all ages enjoy fellowship, food, and chats with church members who may not have been seen in a while due to health issues, they have moved, or just to go and have fun. Kids have time to play on the playground equipment, throw a ball or two, and enjoy playtime. Food consists of hamburgers, brats, and hotdogs, salads of all sorts, sweet treats, and juice or water. The burger bash is a time to reconnect with other church members we have not seen in a long time as well as chow down on the food that is free and provided for us as a thank you every year from the church. Church members enjoy helping out at outings like the burger bash. I, at my age of 40 now, enjoy myself at the burger bash every time I go. This year was the same … I did have a good time but it was just too humid to really eat a lot today. The only thing I did not enjoy about the day was when a church member complained about a few things when the driver of church van annoyed this person so this church member was not a happy camper because of it. AARRGG! The church van is to pick members up, does not matter who is driving from week to week, and take members back home, and there is no need to cater to whims and the van does not have to wait for members who tarry or lag behind. That is what upset the church member … childish if you ask me.
The van did pick me up at 10:30 a.m. and I got to the third service which is at 11 a.m..
Worship service was very good and it seemed to be of a nature of likeness that I enjoyed it greatly. I did not want the service to end. Actually, the time flew by so quickly that it did not seem like a service at all. Our pastor always does a great job at speaking each week and I enjoy his sermons when I get to church myself. Many people were there at the 11 a.m. service … the usual service I go to after Sunday School but we do not have Sunday School for a couple or so weeks now. I cannot wait for Sunday School to resume again.
I am fighting the want to get up and get going for the day. I am going to church today and then plan on going to the burger bash our church is providing afterwards. I am just fighting to get up … don’t want to get up. I want to sleep in some more but I have no idea when the van is picking me up this morning. Anyway, fighting the want to get up has been won and now I am dressed and ready to go. Yet, I do not know when the church van is picking me up. The time the van is picking me up is the only question I have. When is the van to arrive? Have not gotten a call from the ride coordinator.
