Well, Yesterday when I was at work I was 99%… no I was 100% sure that “employee T” that I have been talking about (about to have a baby) was going to have her baby some time last night. That event marks the beginning of my work scedule changing for a month or so. Yesterday T was at work having small contractions. I assumed that she wouldn’t be coming in today- most people don’t go to work in dry cleaning stores when they are in labor. Well I called in at about 5:30 this morning and the manager said she hadn’t heard anything from Tika. No… she hasn’t. I was fully prepared to go in at 7 this morning instead of my normal 9. ( by the way the scedule was ajusted so that I am not working from 9-7 but only from 7-4 while tika is out). haha ONLY- I haven’t had a job in 6 years… then all of a sudden I am working 3-4 hours a day… and now two months later I am about to jump to a nine hour day. Apparently my endurance and mental strength is growing. Either that or i have lost the last trace of sanity i had- and it looped me back around full circle to “functional” again.

I just called in to work to make fun of Tika and tell her that she is ” totally insane” and the manager said… ” nope call back in a minute she is waddeling across the parking lot”. HAHAHA. CRAZY I tell you. Tika said a psychic said her baby would be born on “thursady” which is today- so the manager L and I were betting that yesterday she was in early labor and that the baby would be born after midnight. well as it stands the psychic has another 17 hours to be right. Last night my father said one of the most intelligent things i have heard in a wihle “if the baby is born on thursday then everyone will say that the amazing psychic is right… and if it isn’t then everyone will forget about what the psychic said”

how true is that?

I just called the cleaners and she picked up the phone and i said “Tika you are fucking crazy” she laughed and said ” I am going to the doctor tomorrow and they are going to tell me something “. That baby was due on the…. 19th. HOW THE HELL is she working in the back of a hot dry cleaning store being 5 days overdue? She is a better woman than I am that is for sure.

It’s 7:17 am and I have already watched an episiode of voyager and several carrie underwood videos. I can say that I am in good spirits!

OH OH OH… anyone ever heard of “Burning man?” It is a hippie type of festival that lasts a couple of weeks… sort of like the rainbow gatherings except it’s in a desert area and there is a big “MAN” that gets burned ceremonially. ( dont worry… they build the man… ). Anyhow.. in Second Life Game they are having a festival similar to that called “Burning Life”. To get the thing going they designated 6 new sims (city like areas) for burning man festivities. Wellll last month Rick told me that the sims were going to be devided into 16th’s and raffled off to Second life residents as “plots” on which to have second life Festivities. What you had to do was reply to a forum message and give your name and preffered “theme” of which I chose “surreal”.

Well last night Rick was perusing the forums and he said ” Beth you won a square in “burning life” HAHAHA.

1/16 of a sim is actually quite a bit of space. it is 4096m. to put that in perspective- a first plot of land is 512m. The land I own in Nessus is only 2048.. and I have a parcel that is mine on the commune that is… 1536. SO 4096 is pretty huge. Last night I picked up my big pink barn (with flowers all over it) from under water and moved it to the allocated parcel for “burning life”. I have a friend that is going to help me set up and keep the parcel active. It is not mine to own forever. The Burning life sims are only temporary during the festival but still it is an amazing honor!
