anti climactic

Well.. It is thundering and raining hard here in the Big D. My kids went to temple this morning with my dad and they are still dressed in their temple clothes despite my nudging to get my daughter to take off her dress. I figure as long as she does not eatin it… she can wear it. Bubbie is out of town this weekend so my dad wont care that i didn’t change them out of shul clothes.

My dad took his piano student to the van- something or other piano competition ( not for amitures) to watch. It is all the way in fort worth so they left at noon to get to the one oclock concert. Then dad drops his student off, comes and gets me at 5 because I will already be dressed in my black and whites ( well all black this time) ( but i call it black and whites). I told my dad he only had to take me to the train station because the hotel where the wedding is right there off the downtown station… but i dont want to walk even across the street in this rain… let alone while playing dress up and holding a violin. He said that he’d drop me down there. So they get here at 5, he drops me there at 5:15 ( i think). and then he comes back with the kids and christopher takes over cause my father has a bat mitzvah reception to attend tonight.

After the wedding i am gonna take the train and the bus home like I did last night. It will be all good. I told chris he could maybe come over and hang out later because I have his copy of cabaret and he wants it cause he can play it on his computer now.

A friend of mine is visiting denton ( an hour north of here) next week. That is exciting. I think we are gonna get porched.

Be good and all that
Beth

  1. Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
