Hello.
I am a female survivor of abuse...
...and I have a son...
...who's nickname is Buggie...
...and two katz...
...named Mouse and Tigger...I hold down two jobs...
...and I have lots of medical problems...
...being treated by neurologists...
...doctors...
...optomitrists...
...and Marge...
I do have my share of problems...
...but I am living proof
...that there is life after abuse...
Yes, you, as a survivor...
...can get through the pain...
...of remembering, triggering, PTSD, flashes, etc.
...and you can heal...
One in four woman are survivors of abuse.
You know what else?
There is a pretty good chance that you know one (or are one), but guess what?
There is no sign.
There is no look.
There is no certain way to act...
...there is no sign on my forehead...
...although if there was one...
...mine would probably say,
"Next mood swing in 6 seconds."
There are no boundaries.
Are you thinking, This won't happen to me or someone that I know."
You are wrong.
Abuse doesn't care...
...what color you are...
...how big or small...
...how short or tall...
...or how smart you are...
Abusers don't care who you are.
All they care about...
...is controlling someone...
...getting that thrill...
...of hurting just one (or more)...
...person...
You are NOT an exception.
What can you do?
An abuser(s) worst nightmare...
...is for you as a survivor...
...to speak up...
...get enough courage...
...and start talking about it...
It's not a dirty word.
You can say it.
Rape
Sexual Abuse
Physical Abuse
Molestation
Domestic Abuse
Satanic Ritual Abuse
Emotional Abuse
Go ahead...
...say it...
...and while you...
...(as a survivor)...
...are at it...
Why not try this one?
"I am a survivor!"
There is nothing wrong...
...with saying it...
There is nothing wrong...
...with talking about it...
And guess what?
The more you talk...
...the easier it gets...
That's right!"
...it gets easier...
You...
...as a survivor...
...can do it...Please don't give up...
...and give those assholes...
...(your abuser(s)...
...the satisfaction...
Let them know...
...that they can't hurt you anymore!
Can you also do me a favor?
Do you know of someone that needs out?
Maybe it's a child?
Maybe it's you?
Make that call...
...and make a difference...
...in someone's life...
