Success is relative:
It is what we can make of the mess we have made of things.

25 Mar 2009 - cold and rainy Wednesday
Although I planned on getting some work done in my garden today, the day was too cold for me to start. It has been hard adjusting to this cold weather after our trip south the other week. Those temperatures of 85 during the day really spoiled me. Now it has started raining and probably will rain all night. Then tomorrow everything will be back to being muddy around here.

Monday we drove down into the city for a nice day trip of shopping. We also took my daughter out to dinner. We were almost finished eating when the waitresses came out with a slice of cheesecake with a lighted candle on top. They placed it in front of Kitty and proceeded to sing happy birthday to her. This was a really nice treat and she loved it. The entire day was lovely and went too fast. I did pick up a birthday cake at Walmart and we had cake and ice cream later in the evening even though I had not planned on doing this.. at Kitty's request ... but it is hard to let a birthday go by without a birthday cake. And I think she was happy that I went ahead and got a cake for her.

We have been busy planning our garden for the year. Kitty is way ahead of me as usual. I am planning to have tomatoes, beans, and squash...maybe some other veggies, not sure though. Depends. And hopefully I will get the sunflowers planted in time for them to mature before it frosts in the fall.

I have a lot of projects in the making. Finding the energy to follow through is the thing.

Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy.
