Kids are so cute aren’t they?

Amelia just wandered up with her dummy in her mouth, carrying her blanky and put her arms up at me. Something tells me bub’s ready for a nap hey?

Life’s a bit up and down at the moment, I am hating Ash working nights, I hate going to sleep alone, so i usually end up still awake when he gets home, and by the time I get to sleep it’s 1am, which is no good for getting up early and getting to work. My sleep patterns are all screwy and I feel crappy because of it. I also eat at stupid times, which is making me feel even worse, not to mention fat. I’ve put on weight, and I am grumpy as hell about it.

Work is pretty good though, and Amelia is funny, and things couldn’t be better with Ash, so that part of life is going well. She’s been really sickly lately which has meant loads of sleep and lots of cuddles, if only she didn’t look so pathetic, it would almost be nice (justkidding, KIDDING!!!!).

This was taken late one night this week after many episodes of waking up screaming and wanting cuddles because her nose was blocked and she had a temperature. She hit 39.5 degrees at one point, but Panadol kept it under control. I keep getting to the “should I take her to the emegergency room?” point, but we haven’t yet. She seems to be on the mend a little now, so hopefully we won’t have to take her at all.

Cooper had a convulsion when he had a similar illness and stopped breathing and was taken to hospital in an ambulance, so we have been very very lucky with Amelia’s illnesses.

The lead up to Christmas is filling up so quickly, we have stuff on every weekend and often during the week also, it is getting ridiculous. We have the Spicks and Specks show coming up, which I am really looking forward too, and CLUTCH again which I am completely hanging out for, I am going to ask to swap days that week so I can have the day after off,I was so sore and tired after the last one, too much spastic dancing/moshing. We also have the Spamalot musical which I am taking Ash to for his birthday, we have Christmas parties and dinners with heaps of people, a housewarmings, even a wedding – on the same day as each other! We have advised K&D we might not make the housewarming, but given R&S are getting married in the morning with a lunch time reception, we might manage a short visit to their new house.

We went and saw Machinehead a couple of weeks ago and saw exbf there which was strange had been nearly 5 years since I last saw him in person, he is such a yuppie freak these days, in his company Volvo, expensive shoes and tipped hair… *shudders*. He gave us a lift to the station, I told him he still drives like a tool. He and Ash didn’t say anything to each other, but that’s okay, I didn’t expect them to.

We went to the park this morning with Leilah and Cooper, but the flies around the lake were DISGUSTING so we couldn’t stay long. poor Amelia was covered in them, I swear she had about 30 on her face at one point, with a runny nose, that is NOT a pleasant combination! Ugh. I took some photos of her playing on the playground, and Ash took some of me, which drove home how much weight I have put on, and I promptly deleted the worst ones hehehe, but one made it onto the photo album, so go laugh at me, I mean, look at my baby playing on a slide for the first time!

Well I have a bit of thinking to do for work tomorrow, I have my firstupdate meeting with my boss to tell her all the plans I have for the future development of my role, um, yeah, so I better go think of some!!
