My friend just received a surprise at work, the most beautiful basket of potted flowers and a long stemmed red rose, it is so beautiful (even though I don’t like roses). Maybe I should lift the ban I placed on Mark from doing nice things like that for me, the look on her face made me remember how I used to feel when he would turn up at my house with a bunch of flowers for me, just because he could. I only banned him as we need to save some money and he was spending too much on me.
Reminds me also of when exbf sent me roses at my old work. I told him off, how could he not know are 4 years of being with me, that I don’t like roses??? And I was more annoyed because the money for it came out of our joint account, which only had my money in anyway.
*sighs* I guess I could have been nicer about it though… ah well, never mind.
Maybe I am just in a nostalgic mood today. I just feel all mushy since seeing those flowers… come on all together now, awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
I swear I knew nothing about it beforehand either *wink wink*
Actually I am impressed that he:
a) thought of the idea of sending them
b) knew that she liked potted plants as opposed to cut flowers
c) that he took advice and direction as to where to get them from
d) that he chose such beautiful flowers!!
Heh.
I don’t want to go to school, I want to go home and hug my husband, but I cannot go next week as I will be in Brisbane so I really MUST go this week unfortunately.
Egads Batman, it is nearly 3:00pm!!
*Flies off into the vast darkness of the boring part of her brain to finish some form of boring work.*
Poor you! How horrible! I truly sympathize! I wish researchers could come up with something that could banish migraines once and for all. Some of my friends have it and I feel so helpless watching them and not being able to do anything other than offer painkillers. I hope you’re feeling much better now. Poor baby!
As for your second entry, I think that your friend’s beau is a very wise and thoughtful man to have gotten her a pot of roses instead of a short-lived bouquet. I love growing things and would not place a ban on flowers in pots. I hope Mark gets you some happy little flowers in pots.
Love,
E.L.
You know there is nothing physiologically different between a migraine and a regular headache. Its like blood vessels in your head swelling. Neat huh? My girlfriend gets headaches and insists on telling me things about headaches. I thought I’d share the wealth.
