Return of the king

We went and saw it last night. and it was quite enjoyable, but I still preferred the second movie. I can see why people are not happy with the level of accuracy, I haven’t read the book but my brother has and when I was telling him a bout the movie this morning, he was horrified at what I had to say about it, all the bits that got left out. I shall endeavor to read the book now, I was just waiting til I had seen all the movies, so I wouldn’t be disappointed with any inaccuracies. Can’t say I was too keen on the “reunited in the glorious sunshine frolicking on the bed scene” it just seemed really out of place to me.

Mark and I have booked a site at a caravan park by the beach for the Australia Day long weekend, and I am now counting the days til we will be back by the beach again (17 days at this stage). I love the first half of the year, so many public holidays, they really should spread them out a bit more, move Easter to the second half of the year would be just terrific thanks!

A whole bunch of my favourite bands are playing in the next few weeks, but each and every gig falls on a day I have something else on, one the same day as a dentist appointment, so I cannot guarantee my fitness for partying, one on the work conference when I am supposed to be going on a winery tour thingamabob, but I would rather be seeing Full Scale play, I am going to try to do both though. I still can’t believe they are touring with Evanescence, I am not sure they will be the best complement to each others music, but as I am not going, I will not find out.

Anyhoo, my bosses filing cabinets aren’t going to clean themselves out!

  1. ha! i think my fave is still number two as well, but the more i think about 3 the more i like it. as for inaccuracies etc, yeah there are a few but i guess there’s just far too much story to include. still you wonder why jackson *changes* things from the story, that i don’t get. if i could do it over again i’d probably wait til i’d seen all 3 movies before reading the book as otherwise it gets slightly annoying

i love this time of year too and am counting down til our next long weekends :) ))))

    roll on holidays
