Fekkin tired

I have been so insanely busy the last week or so, I am so tired!

It seems that life is intent on moving me along at a breakneck speed without allowing me time to rest or enjoy the ride, I catch glimpses of some things as they fly by, but not enough to hold onto the memories as I would like to.

Thursday was a whirlwind day that read as follows:

06:30 Get up

06:45 Take mark to work

07:45 Arrive back home

07:55 Breakfast

08:10 Take my car to mechanic

08:15 Walk to post office/newsagent/confectionery shop/art shop to obtain various things I needed (fork out $160.00)

09:00 Taxi home

09:10 Load up car with all my wedding stuff

09:30 Pick up brother

10:00 Wedding dress fitting (for out another $250.00)

11:00 Begin drive to my great auntie’s funeral

12:00 Arrive at funeral

14:30 Say goodbye to relatives

15:00 Shoe shopping for my brother

16:00 Pick up Mark from work

16:45 Pick up my car from mechanics (didn’t cost me anything, turns out they screwed up my transmission gasket when they serviced it)

17:00 Take brother home

18:00 Get to optometrist to pick up contact lenses

18:05 Realise I forgot everything for my appointment

19:00 Try again

19:05 Poke myself in the eye for the first time

19:10 APologise for the billionth time to the poor optometrist for being a pain in the ass

19:20 standing in front of a mirror with shaking hands, watery eyes and a red face as I try to insert contact lenses for the 100th time

19:29 Successfully get them in and out and sterilised and am rushed out the door so he can go through it all again with another patient

19:30 Go shopping for wedding bits and pieces

20:30 Realise I haven’t eaten in about 12 hours

21:00 Get pizza

22:00 get home and try to study

Hmm sorry to bore you, wanted to see what it looked like written down :)

The funeral was nice, a lot more people than we expected, which was really good. People my lovely old auntie had known 60 odd years ago when she was a 30 year old girl guides leader and they were her 5 and 6 year old charges.

My second cousins were there, one of them has gotten married and had a baby, but her husband only has 12 months or so left to live, he was diagnosed with rapid onset multiple sclerosis earlier this year, I nearly cried as I watched him playing with his daughter from his wheelchair, such a damn shame.

Life can be cruel.

I will write about the weekend another day I think, I have exams to prepare for tonight, in between working… *sighs* I am so nervous, so very very nervous…

Hens Night Photos

Anne and Musik organised a nightclub tour bus, which happened to be be also in use by a buck’s night party as well. The girls all dressed me up in a hideous gold dress, and apron, various oven mitts and rubber gloves and a truly spectacular veil ensemble.

As usual you have to scroll DOWN to see them, damn DD

Tired & Emotional

The weekend was huge, but I have nothing much to say.

Halloween Party. Huge Breakfast cook up. Huge Mess Cleanup. Wedding Rehearsal.

Dilemma. This guy I used to be seeing was at the Halloween Party, he wants to come to the wedding (he hasn’t grasped the concept of “invited” yet. Mark would prefer he wasn’t there… when I first started seeing Mark I wasn’t sure if I could commit to him because of this other guy I was in love with. They get along fine, can have a laugh together, but I respect Mark’s wish to not have him at the wedding… but don’t know HOW to broach the issue with him. *hangs head* I have a week and a half to come up with a solution.

Heart still jumps when I see him too, although considerably less than it used to, I guess some things take a LONG time to stop completely.
