The weekend was manic to say the least. Friday I went to get my hair cut and straightened at lunch time and the hairdresser who was supposed to be there wasn’t, no one knew where she was, so as a result it took me over an hour there, far longer than it should have. I finished work at 5:10pm and, with my car laden with brochures for Sunday, I bolted home and arrived at 5:50 to find Mark waiting for me with a Vodka to bolster myself for the dressing process.
Corsets and stockings and high heels, OH MY! I needed help to force myself into everything within my 10 minute time limit. I managed makeup, full dress and hair in under that and was pretty much ready when the taxi pulled up.
I looked pretty spesh all frocked up apparently

The dinner was all right, pretty boring, we went to the Casino afterwards for dessert and a couple of drinks then we got a taxi home.
Saturday morning we got up nice and early and we went to Ray’s Outdoors to get some bits and pieces for the cheap BBQ we bought last weekend. We now have a superb, fully functioning 3 burner barbie for under $120, yay! Kitty and her man came over with my brother at about 10 to pick up some money I am lending them for their bond, but I had huge disasters with machines refusing to take my cards, lying about the funds available and generally being tools of evil. I finally had to take it out of my credit card.
Marks groomsmen arrived at about 12:00 for a quick BBQ (which we bought all the stuff for at some earlier stage) and one brought his wife and little girl, Grace, she is adorable. She can say boobies, awwwwww.
The suit fittings with Grace were interesting, Grace managed to destroy the place whilst grinning the whole time, it was very amusing. We ended up picking plain black outfits for the groomsmen and mark has a platinum type coloured vest. They are going without ties, it is much more casual.
Saturday night H came over after work and we had another BBQ for dinner before watching Tromeo and Juliet again, YAY!
Sunday I had to work. It was pouring rain, and an outdoor setup, my nice straight hair soon vanished into a frizz of indescribable (UN? I dunno) proportions.
Just after we pulled up this frantic woman came up the path yelling for help as there was a dead woman in the bushes. Her friend was far more came, ascertaining she had OD’d but was still breathing. I called the emergency number and followed all the instructions from the lady on the phone, getting the girl in all the right positions. Musik’s little bro was helping me. The paramedics soon arrived and after all our efforts to be gentle with her, proceeded to smack her around saying” Oi can you hear me? oi wake up” it was rather amusing in a sick sort of way. We had to leave then, but assume she was all right as the ambulance left with no sirens, and no police came.
Then came the setup, my jeans were soaked to the knees by the time we got it half done and I was not in a good mood. It was 9:00am on a Sunday, I had been up for hours and was hungry, cold and tired.
The show was good overall though, and Mark and his mum cleaned the old house while I was there, which saved me SOME hassle.
Sunday afternoon we had a house full of visitors again, and grocery shopping to do, and curtains (oh yeah I forgot to mention I bought new PURPLE DRAPES, ALL MY LIFE I’VE WANTED PURPLE DRAPES!!!!) to hang. Washing to be done, homework that was beckoning, and sleep needing to be had.
I did it all, and watched Quills too, fantastic movie!!!
So here we are on a Monday afternoon, this time in 4 weeks I will be just about to check into a hotel… yayayayayayay!
